Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program

The CDPAP program coordinates self-directed home care for people with disabilities. Program statistics for October 2019 through September 2020:

170 people with disabilities actively receiving home care
430 people providing paid home care

This program has saved $14,487,928 in Medicaid long term care funds over the last year.

Long Term Care Ombudsman Program

Ombudsman program staff and volunteers visit and assist residents of nursing homes and adult care facilities. Program statistics for October through September:

Clinton County: 960 residents  & families, 515 staff
Essex County: 886 residents & families, 364 staff
Franklin County: 348 residents & families, 167 staff

Complaints: 538
Investigations: 386

662 volunteer hours prior to COVID-19 shut-down.
